Painting by Cindy SpruiellOne of the main priorities of the Village Art Club is art education. We sponsor an active Art Scholarship Program for promising artists and artisans in our area! We provide higher education renewable scholarships in Fine and Applied Arts for graduating high school seniors from Benton County AR (public, private or home school) who are majoring in the visual arts, and are enrolled at accredited institutions.

The Scholarship Director and three Village Art Club members make up the Scholarship Committee. In April of each year, students are interviewed at The Studio @ Wishing Spring Gallery with their completed art portfolios.

Butterfly DaisyAs a 501(c)(3) organization, the Village Art Club of Bella Vista can accept memorial contributions (the giver does not have to be a member of the Club). Memorials/donations may be designated for the Scholarship Fund or the Village Art Club of Bella Vista.*

Gifts don’t have to be memorials; they can also be given as a living tribute to recognize a person who has done something special or who represents someone special to the giver.

When memorial gifts are received, a card is sent to the family of the person being honored (gift amount is not indicated), and to the person giving the gift.

The Program also accepts donations through wills and trusts. These arrangements can be set up at any time with an attorney.

*Any other designated gift or item must have the approval of the Executive Committee before being accepted. The Executive Committee will determine the appropriateness of any recognition or plaque stating the name of the donor or honoree.
