The Studio is situated directly behind Wishing Spring Gallery, where art classes, workshops, seminars, art shows and monthly Village Art Club meetings are held. It is heated and air conditioned, and can be rented for private use to Club members as well as to the general public. The Studio measures 49' long x 28 1/2' wide, and has restroom facilities, sinks, refrigerator, microwave, sound system, and tables & chairs. There is carpeted display space around the upper-half of three walls.
Every Tuesday (with the exception of 2nd Tuesdays each month*), The Studio is open to any artists who want to come and paint, and crafters also. Anyone—young and old, pro and novice—can just pop in and join in the fun. There may occasionally be a demonstration by a talented artist, but more often than not it’s just “do your own thing”. Talented artists are there on a regular basis, and are more than willing to share their knowledge and assistance when asked or needed. Bring your creative supplies and lunch (or stop by one of the nearby restaurants/fast food places for take-out); if you “eat in”, there’s a refrigerator and microwave. Plan to create a work of art, or just come for the camaraderie with other artisans, or both! Participants gather from 8:30 until ??? (usually 2:30-3:00pm).
*When the 2nd Tuesday is taken up with the Village Art Club’s monthly meeting, the next day is FREE WEDNESDAY, same time, same action!
